    Sarpo Mira is my seed potato of choice for bumper crop.
    Never had slug problems.
    Here in the North/West I plant mid March, for harvest in September.

      Having clay soil infested with keeled slug, I can recommend 'Kestrel' as a slug resistant variety. I've also managed to grow Sarpo Mira and Sarpo Axona, which are also blight resistant. I've tried lots of varieties over the years, but most of them produce crops which are "holier than thou!" :biggrin:

        OK, then I think it will be Kestrel plus one of the Sarpo varieties. They always buy a bag of Wilja when they're down here so that's the third. On gardenfocused.co.uk it says those are slug resistant and I should get a first early. Anyone tried Swift? Also I shall have to order them and get them sent to her so does anyone recommend a supplier?
