potatoes

    Rosie, 3 of my containers are old dustbins, our council have issued the big wheeled bins for the collection of refuse, so they are surplus to needs,I would think that now many areas use this method there will be plenty of surplus bins, perhaps the council may have some.Old compost bags will also do, spuds are fairly easy to grow.

    Hi all

    i use these very cheap and big enough to get lots of spuds and you can use them again too :D

    i put 6 seed potatoes in and got a good half an asda bag of spuds

    this year i have 24 of them pots got a bit carried away [​IMG]

    good job i love spuds eh !!

    How deep are those plant pots you got? Certainly look usefull and not just for spuds!

    not sure at a guess i would say about 25 inches and they weigh a ton when full !!!

    heres a pic of me spuds lol oh and peas like you say they are really usefull i have melons and toms in them too

    Thanks for all this info. it has helped me too. Can I just ask Daitheplant how big is a 10 litre pot, diameter and depth-wise
