Male urine is supposed to keep foxes away. I regularly pee around my plot and not had a problem with them and they've kept away from my chickens (touch wood).

Last year I tried those sensors that emit high pitched sounds.
I did actually seem to work for protecting the particular area it was used in, but not other areas of the garden. And it broke after a couple of months!

I'm considering getting a couple more this year though, as the foxes are currently causing havoc!

I was rather concerned to see this yesterday. Both mother and cub took a keen interest in this pot in which I am growing Ranunculus. When they had left, I went outside to check but couldn't see any damage at all! 2024-05-25_07-41-50.jpg

My partner has a new job in the garden!

One of the neighbours has one for their food bin, but the sound pierces through my brain every time when I pass it. Also, recently I saw their food scattered all over the street again, so not sure if it's working for them.
It's tough, one day the plants look beautiful and the next morning it's all gone.

Really sweet photo, fingers crossed it will stay that way!

It seems the work on our allotment site. The people that don't pee around their plot seem to have problems with foxes.
