i dunno how you comp chappies put up with all the crap. as in ,owww i cant log on owww its slow .. owwwww i cant post a picky ... owwwwwwww wottever

all i can say is the chappies that look after the sites put in a lot of work and many hours .. so wot if a site is unfunctal for 15 mins for a back up or an update then so be it ...learn to live with it . a site fully down for days is more harmful than just 15 mins

anyways rant over me vegies are growing . i got flowers on my marrows :thumb:

I don't have a problem with this 15 minutes. Fell foul of it the other night for the first time, cause I forgot, but no worries.:thumb:

 

That happens to me on occasion. I usually find a 'refresh page' sorts it.

I understand that, yes it may be frustrating for mods etc to listen to us all moan about what must seem the simplest thing. But that's why they are mods etc. Cos they're good. Have lots of patience. A godsend to alot of us. Enough praise, now sort Everything! out, lol.

For a quick fix: Could you reschedule the backup to run at 4AM instead of midnight, I would imagine that there is almost no traffic at this time as the forum is GMT/BST centric.

Anyway - Sunday 22 Jun 2008 00:02 the Database died.

im sorry Scotkat i may seem a liitle bold and forthcoming. but wot is the point in reporting a problem that is ALL READY KNOWN to the peeps that control this web site.

every web site has its problems. i will of course report any unusual probs , but i will first of all cheack out the problem at my end first. I will not go ranting and raving at those that control G/C just because i can't post a picky etc . for EG photobuckect was being an **** the other night. i even did a defrage and a restor and run a test on my modem
