Did Morse get a promotion? I must have missed that but it looked as though everyone else got one! Morse is just going back to being Thursday's bag man

Every time I think they're going to retire some of the characters they go and keep them going. I don't think they can carry the series on too much longer so I figured it wold be a neat time to get rid of Bright and Thursday and bring in a couple of transitional characters to segue nicely into the original Morse series.

Morse got his promotion to sergeant at the end of the previous series.

    Yes, a very short series.

They call a "series," anything with three or more episodes.

His George Cross appears to have faded into history.

I miss Dakota Blue Richards. (WPC Shirley Trewlove).

According to IMDB "The name Dakota Blue was inspired by her mother's time spent with Native Americans while studying and traveling in USA."
What a name with which to saddle a kid. But at least for an actress it's memorable.
    But a bit daft on a badge if you're on a check-out at Sainsbury's.

Hopefully, Endeavour will have lost that stupid moustache next year.

I watched the last two episodes of The Defiant Ones, a documentary series charting the early lives and careers of Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre and their subsequent friendship and business partnership, and I can thoroughly recommend it although it is rather sweary!
Continuing the musical (and BBC) theme I also watched a good film interview with Marieanne Faithful last night.

I tried the Martin Clunes one last night and found it a total waste of his talent. It's awful. (It's called 'Warren' in case anyone's wanting to avoid it!)

Tried to watch Mother Father Son, but it's too weird.

Liked James May's Big Trouble in Model Britain's, he's great with those sort of things, despite his hair.
Like him in the Grand tour on Amazon prime.Next series they're only doing specials which i like.

I've started recording Robin's Nest, talk about "non PC."
The do-gooders now have really attacked humour, yet the incidences of graphic violence portrayed on TV get worse by the year.
Shame about Richard O'Sullivan, had a stroke sixteen years ago and is in a home.

I don't know. One time watching TV was great. Starting with the news. Here the BBC often excelled itself. Many folk considered the BBC to be a great teacher. News readers pronounce words correctly. Now controversy is pronounced two ways. The second 'o' as in...over the rainbow, or simply 'of'. So is cervical. Cervical meaning neck. Here relating to the neck . In the case of the neck of the womb. The I is lower case, i as in ick, applying to the skeletical neck the i is upper class as in I...me...eye
