There are lots of Korean series available on Netflix. The ones I have watched have been really good. Recently I took a random chance and watched Kingdom. I hadn't seen any trailers for it. I was expecting an old fashioned tale of feuding families. The zombie element took my surprise. I watched all 12 episodes and I loved every one. It was a story extremely well told. Also, to add to the enjoyment, the audio is available in lots of languages, including English, of course.

When the evenings become even longer I will probably find something worth watching in amongst the Walter Presents selection... I really don't mind subtitles.

..... maybe because they weren't as good as you had expected them to be.:dunno:

A lot of trailers make the forthcoming programmes look really good, but then when you watch them you realise that in fact all the best bits......were infact the trailers!!!:roflol:

I watched Tony Robinson's Train Journey Through India this evening. He certainly has enthusiasm. We found it very interesting but don't know how much the fact that we had done a very similar journey influenced our thoughts.

I missed the first part of the programme but saw him in Delhi and then across the country to Darjeeling in the foothills of the Himalayas. He then travelled on the Darjeeling Himalayan railway which is used a lot by tourists. It's a fascinating journey on a narrow gauge railway pulled by a steam train over 100 years old. It runs down the main road through Darjeeling and you can shake hands with the people sitting on their front steps as you go by. We did that journey a couple of years ago.

He went to a little town called Kalimpong up in the mountains in a small section of India jammed between Nepal and Bhutan and said it was his favourite place. Mrs Shiney and myself help raise money for the orphanage there. :blue thumb:

He then went on to Burma and to Mandalay and Bagan (we were there in January) and almost all the places he went to we had been to. We also took needed supplies to an orphanage there. It's run as a monastery school and orphanage by the monks. :)

Tony looked as though he roughed it a bit more than we did. :heehee:
