I just watched one of Michael Palin's old programmes - The Himalayas. This one was Bhutan to the Bay of Bengal and I found it a bit disappointing. Some of it was good but it missed out quite a few interesting things that he could have had in there.

I did, more or less, the same journey (without climbing their highest mountain :old: :heehee:) and he could have explained some of the things better and shown more local things of interest. A pity, because I normally think his journeys are very good.

I'll probably be watching as little or even less on the tv as I did in 2022.

Same here Michael, our son's are like us and don't watch mainstream TV at all .We didn't even switch in on over the Christmas period at our eldest's.

Since being home we only put it on last night to watch Yesterday as I thought it would be cheery and that hubs might enjoy it ( I saw it at the cinema) it then got switched off until the midnight fireworks.

We have it on now as we love to watch and listen to the New Years Concert in Vienna, then it will remain off as there is nothing else on that interests today.

I tend to pick a few catch ups later in the evening. At the moment I'm watching the old Without A Trace series...one each evening and then before I go to bed I watch one programme in the latest A Place In The Sun.... to end the day on a warming ,sunny high!!!

Tv is imo just rubbish lately, I find it belittling that the makers of some of the programmes think the general public may find then entertaining!!!
