Well guys I FAILED  The cuttings I tried have obviously hit the dust ! I know you might say just over a week isn't long enough but believe me, these are dead. I might try again. Some of my geraniums do have these sections where they can be cut but my others are just stems and leaves at the moment so no good gor cuttings.
Basically I am just trying to bulk my plants up for next year so cutting and seeds are the way to go for me.

New to this gardening game as well......did you keep the cuttings moist?
I find it's better to use one of the mist bottles rather then using the watering can.
But having said that I had 3 attempts with roses and all have died within the first week or so, even using the mist spray :dunno:

I would have placed them in a waterproof tray and let the soil naturally wick up the water to the new babies, keeping them wet/moist that way. You can also find a waterproof tray with a helmet type lid on it. Then put the little pots in the tray, then water, then lid so it creats a mini greenhouse. Place in a sunny area. And do this only for 3 days, only 3 even 2ish is better as any longer the plant can start to rot. Watch the water in the tray during this time to not dry out.

Yes, over watering might have been a contributing factor to my lack of propagation skills. I've tried a few more cuttings now and I will mist spray a little.
The waterproof tray sounds like I should give it a try too.
I'm wondering if I placed them in a too shady spot too ?

Shady shouldn't be a problem. Too much sun and heat can be a problem.
