Propagator advice

    I would go for the heated garland Super 7 - great little propagator for the small to medium grower. Shop around for the best price Ebay , Amazon etc.
    I think you can learn how to water plants with a few tips and tricks like trogre's . When I am planting seeds in the little props , I water the seed compost on a tray until it is just damp. When you squeeze it in your fist the water should just about drip out . I then place it into the props tamp it down lightly and sow the seeds as per the seed packet instructions. :blue thumb:

      Hello again,

      Your advice is brilliant, thank you both very much! I think I am always so concerned about the little seedlings drying out that I actually drown them. I will give the "wait until the leaves slightly" droop suggestion a try, and water the soil until it's damp, like you said Harry.

      And I will also have a look for the propagator that you suggested! :)
