Plum Pudding is 1 of the few Heuchera I can grow in my soil here (maybe not good enough drainage/too cold/don't know!) Palace Purple is fine but many of the fancy coloured ones don't accept here. With Plum Pudding and no doubt with other varieties they are really easy from cuttings. When they start into growth I have even just broken bits off and stuck them in the ground if I don't have the time to do proper cuttings. Usually about 75% of bits take. The other thing I do is dig up quite leggy clumps increase the depth of the hole where they were growing replant much deeper and bingo you get a much less leggier and more vigerous plant. The technique is called dropping and very useful for leggy Heathers but works with Heuchera too.
