When I lived in Wales, Harry in Manchester was paying less for his Welsh Water than I was in Blaenau Ffestiniog:DOH:

    Now that wasn't fair.

Some years back, the usa made it Illegal for Canada to turn off their water supply in the event of a drought:DOH:

Now who would sign a contract like that ?

I must say I think Boris is a waste of space and should have been strangled at birth:D

But, regarding water, we are very small minded on our very small island.

Its quite normal in lager countries of the world to move water from areas that have lots to areas that dont.
Now most of the problem in the South East is due to over population, why does everybody want to live here?

We get large influxes of people moving into the area from, may I say, just those areas that seem to have the most rainfall, along with the usual bunch of nomads that wander the world, looking for some where nice.:)

So, if there should be areas of this tiny island that get an excess of water, I cant see why it shouldn't be spread around just a bit.:)

I think this just proves my point, we are , I think, "lucky", being Britain, we dont have any proper borders, (I'm sure some would like it if we did), so we are not responsible for rivers crossing borders as such.
And denying other countries of water.

A Welsh friend of mine used to take her kids on trips to Llyn Vyrnwy, an artificial lake which was created, with typical Edwardian tact and regard for the locals, by flooding a valley and submerging an entire village. There is a large brass plaque at Vyrnwy declaring that the reservoir was put in place to provide a water supply for the people of Liverpool.

My friend's kids used to read the plaque and then solemnly pee into Vyrnwy's depths.
