Pumpkin Growing Challenge 2012

    I've had to buy a couple Bilbo but no worries there is always next year:blue thumb:...i've got my seed already:)....not having any kiddlings i've always got to go over the top with nieces and nephews and of course my furry kids ,would have been nice to grow a big un but hey ho...you never know next year we might beat Scrungee;)

          Whats the weight then Scrungee?
          This may be my last year growing pumpkins, so there is a possibility of some seed going free if anyone is interested? Yes I have Atlantic Giants!
          Seen carving sets in the pound shops.

          PS going to Aberdeen/Lossiemouth area next week, whats the rain like up there?

          I wont be doing the carving bit as I'm donating my pumpkin (still haven't weighed it - just incase it went somewhere for 'guess the weight') to the local Guide's Halloween Party. (I also used to donate them to the village school & scouts, the latter now disbanded) So a reminder that the pumpkins from competititions need not be 'wasted'.

          Think I did the right thing getting it indoors as there was ice in barrels and watercans this morning and not much left of the pumpkin plant:
