pumpkins

This is the first time we have grown pumpkins and I think they did so well not only because we put the plant on our largest compost heap but also from tips we got from GC. We let the 2 biggest pumpkins grow and here are some pics of them. A �£1 coin is on top to give you an idea.

1) the bigger one is 101 cm in circumfrence
2) the smaller one is 79 cm in circumfrence

Can't get a weighing scale underneath so hopefully our son will think of it when he harvests them just before Halloween. If he does, then I'll let you know later on.

They look a good useful size KG, its nice to have sucsess on your first go at anything.
