Noooooo. Hope you have high hedges. Anyway, aren't you worried too much nitrogen will discourage your plants from budding?

    Or a good aim.

Good afternoon, I think this thread was opened/locked before I joined last March!
It's great - just friendly banter - how I like it.
Cat deterrant sticks 002.JPG Just taken this piccie. The sticks have worked. There are some nice bulbs in there and I wouldn't have wanted it wrecked,

Couple of things. Unless I've missed it, I have not read anywhere of the diligence of your area to fix cats there for decreasing the population.

The other thing, many of you know that I have "huge gardens" and 8 "EIGHT" cats. In all the years of having them, going on 9 years, have never had an issue with my gardens, even when digging up for new plantings, so far, I have not even run across a poop spot. Actually they help, I have no rabbits, and the squirrals (which I hate) have decreaed population, and no mice. My good friend way down the street is always complaining about rabbits hurting her gardensssss. Unfortunately her house is too close to a busy street for a cat to survive.

So, I do not get the issue.

The issue is a question about the anti-cat thread ban...
Or is that, like, American for 'get the problem?'

I think, personally, Cacadores the "issue" went beyond a specific thread was, reading the posts, a disgruntlement with Admin.... or, as you quote, is that, like American for "get the problem"

Are you saying you "don't understand the problem redstar"?
The problem was we couldn't understand MR's quote about "paying the price" as we all thought he meant money *but he didn't - he meant penalty*.
Thank goodness we are all speaking the same language at least!

            Jenny namaste,

Oh. Well I never thought he meant money! Since many words have a direct meaning and a metaphorical one, and since the moderaters are probably not paid, and since the metaphorical meaning of 'paid' was already put into a metaphorical context by MR in the well-known phrase 'to have to pay the price', i.e. suffer the consequencies, then we were faced with two interpretations:

            1. 'paid' was meant literally or
            2. Paid was meant metaphorically.

Now, the literal interpretation makes it into a probably incorrect statement, and the metaphorical interpretation turns it into a reasonable opinion. Now it seems to me that a reasonable person prepared to give a member the benefit of the doubt, will have to choose the latter interpretation. Unless he wants to stir things up!

And we had a very nice sunny day today, thanks. Although I'm a bit worried about my box seedlings sitting in water when there's a threat of overnight frost. What do you think?

Well, if it's likely to freeze the water the seedlings are standing in then I would move them to somewhere more sheltered.:snork:
