I can only thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kind words... :luv:

No it never gets any easier to lose a pet, but with Charley it has been a little different.. He came along at a difficult time in our lives, when there was a huge void left in our lives by the loss of our wonderful daughter & he kind of filled it... Now I am lost at present..

Yes Kandy I hope this little pup with fill some of the void again....... I am going to see my grand children & the pups shortly...

So sorry to hear your news Marley. Must be devastating for you. I dread my dear old Paddy going, he's a springer. Mad as a hatter and hard work at times but he has a HUGE piece of my heart and my best friend. I'm sure you know were all thinking of you at this time. Dave.

Marley, I am so sorry to hear about Charley. A wonderful dog and now running free with all the others up there in that special place in the sky. Going so suddenly, he obviously went without pain, and that is to be thankful for.

Reading why he was such a special dog makes it doubly hard for you, but I'm sure the new pup will give you comfort. Charley will always be there in his special corner of your heart, just as all the other dogs are.

Woo, that is a lovely poem that you posted.

Marley, my friend, my thoughts are with you in this sad time. xx

Marley, having recently lost a pet myself, I do sympathise with you and know the hurt you are going through. We never forget the animal friends we make but the pain will ease eventually.:yez:

Thank you all for your kind words about Charley boy.. I am just about hanging in here... He was such a fun, loving & affectionate dog.. I think we were to him too... Was part of the family... I feel so lucky we had him for all the years we did...
A big dog who kind of filled the house.. Always sang to you when you came home from anywhere & whenever he met anyone from the village as everyone knew Charley.... He is greatly missed by us all....

It is just hard to come to terms with at present.... My wonderful boy....... Miss you..

He is a beautiful boy Marley, his face is lovely. I think that is a good way to think about it - you were lucky to have each other and both gave so much to each other too.
