    Hi mef750

Just sponsored you and your daughter. I hope you are managing to get your training in between the gardening. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Good luck. :D

Well, MF - I've bought the trainers, so I'm well into the training schedule! ;)

It's a 6 week schedule, so I'm going to start the day after the Big Planting Session tomorrow is over, with a good start before heading off to Perth!

Glad to hear everything's going well with you too, MEF!

[IMG] Glad to hear it dendy.. I was in the sports shop today, buying my grandson trainers, so I asked what would be good ones for the Race for Life.. I was shown some super ones that were so comfortable.. Shame I wasn't comfortable with the price...! :D My grandsons were bad enough...!!! Anyway was chatting to the sales girl only to find she is entering the Bristol one next month on 20th May. So I ended up sponsoring her & another person working there too...!!
[IMG] So come on GC....!!! Help dendy & Mef750.... Dig deep...!!!!! [IMG]

Yes, that's right! It won't be sent to them until the race is over, on the 17th June, so be prepared!

    Thanks a lot! :D

I'll be following the Reebok 6 week training programme using them - it doesn't start off being very demanding, so I doubt if it'll be a problem, MEF - but I'll be careful - you too!

6 weeks before the 17th June means very soon now! :D

    Thanks for that Shiney!

Good luck to all who are taking part!!!! [IMG] [IMG]

Loads of my chums here are doing the local race for life, so have already committed to sponsoring them (7 at the last count!!!!) - oh, and the Moonwalk!!!!

I may do that next year, as my knees/ hips/ ankles/ feet/ rest of body won't allow any running.... :( :(

Not sure I'll need the gaffer tape, Windy - the bystanders aren't in all that much danger from me! :D

On-line the sponsorship is at £220, and I have cheques for another £20, (thanks Chris and Windy!) and Mr D says he'll make up the final total to a round figure - so I'm pretty happy with that!

Moonwalk? What's that, Honey Bee? Another charity event?

Honey Bee - I don't have a problem with my knees, hips, ankles or feet. It's my breasticles that make it hard to run.....do they have another race Dendy, where you walk slowly with your best bra on and one arm clamped across your chest and then I can join in!!??!! :D :D

An impressive amount to raise single handledly - well done you!!!! [IMG] :clap
