Well my big day has ended, and i must say it was great! We did think of running the last K but decided against it as it was so hot! Reading some of the messages on people who was taking part brought a lump to my throught, and a tear to my eyes.
Just 1 sticks in my mind and i think it will stay forever.

"Dad I couldn't save you but i will run the rest of my life to save someone"

It has been a great experience, and a joy to do!
Thanks to all you who have sponcerd me.
My heart is bursting with pride! [IMG]

Dendy its fantastic, you will love every min of it! People who you don't even know all clapping and cheering as you come to the finishing post!
55 mins we did it it! [IMG] [IMG]
And the dinner! Well that was the icing on the cake! [IMG] [IMG]

Hi Dendy, in case we don't speak again before the race, we wish you good luck and hope that the weather is perfect for it - not too hot, humid or wet. xx

    Thanks everyone! :D

Looks like I'm not going to have to worry about it being too hot, though - it's been pretty wet today, and the forecast is that it is to continue that way for a few days, so slipping in the mud is more likely than getting sunburn!

It starts at 11, so lots of positive thoughts then, please! I won't be running, just walking - I never got the time to train, maybe next year......

    :D

Well, I've done it - so be ready for the credit cards to do their thing! ;) ;) ;)

Here's a pic of the medal you get for finishing

They also give you a lovely little goody bag, with a carefully phrased offer.....

"You've just raced for life, so we think you deserve a shower" and enclose a sachet! Very tactful!! And there's a deodorant..... Are they trying to tell us something?????
