It's rained on and off most of the day, had about 1/2 an inch now. Just what we needed!

Been raining all evening here, cancelled fishing trip, decided to get on with restoration of pill box instead, just come in to avoid slugs.

Bowser is nearly full, must be about 2/3 tonnes of water in it now:dbgrtmb:

It was empty a few days ago.

Well after raining all morning it was very very warm and dry this afternoon, but it is now raining steadily again....

There's one thing I haven't missed though whilst we've had no rain - slugs and snails, the little devils are out in force again now; it's like a gathering of the troops; a full on assault on anything green lol...

I've hopefully got the veg patch protected though......

I was woken up at 4.30 this morning by the sound of torrential rain against my windows.:yess: That lasted for about 20 minutes and went down in to "normal" rain. It's rained on and off all day with the occasional rumble of thunder:D
My outside weather station is forecasting more rain later tonight and tomorrow. My water butts are down to half full in one and quarter full in the other so we need the rain.

It's nice and wet out there now. My barrels are 2/3 to 3/4 full!!! A frog decided to come inside and check out my kitchen and I had to chase him around a bit before I could grab him and take him out to the pond where he would be safe from my frog hunting git of a cat Monster. Hopefully it will finish filling my barrels today!

      Bonkers or what?

We were having proper rain here at 1 a.m. last night. I was so thrilled I went out and started emptying the water butt, full at last, onto the driest bits of the garden as it would otherwise go to overflow and it seemed too precious to waste. I knew the downpour would easily refill it again, and it did.

      Hope the neighbours weren't watching.

Then the delightful sound of a persistent downpour lulled me to sleep!

        Still waiting. :fingerdrum:
It did briefly cloud over for a while this morning, I felt about three spots of rain, then the cloud cleared again. Oh, whoop de doo!!
Have to agree with Bilbo though, noticable lack of slug and snail activity so far. :)

        Yesterday 1 very heavy shower.

Grass looking great, flowers appearing in the garden.
