Perhaps some of you can help me - for the second year running, my Orchid's flowering stem seems to be withering towards the top. I re-potted it last year and it was fine yesterday. It didn't flower last year, any ideas as to what's up with it?

Need to know what kind of orchid it is doodler.
Some require certain temperatures in the run up to flowering, if too warm at night many of the cymbidiums abort flowering or dont even start.

Phalaenopsis. Took it into my room as where it was in my study used to get freezing at night.

It should be Ok then but it requires steady warmth, the move could easily up set it during flowering.

I find Phals are happy to get as low as 7C overnight, just as long as it recovers to around 20C by day.

Good light, even full sun in winter is good, and be careful not to over water.

It should flower all year in the right conditions

Hi all orchid growers I got my Dvd in the post on Friday that I gave you the link for in a previous post.

A great christmas gift or just for yourself.

I only watched part of it yesterday but very good and interesting .

So glad I sent for it.
