For those who need cheering up at the moment. Perhaps we can banish the winter blues by reviving this thread.

In one of those pleasant surprises which gardening sometimes provides, last weekend, while replacing the fence panels damaged in the storms, I discovered a sturdy looking rowan tree sapling hidden away behind the bushes, growing right next to the fence.

It must have been there for about two or three years, it's already reached a height of about 4/5ft and is probably a gift from the blackbirds I often see feasting on the large rowan in my front garden.

So, I carefully dug it out and replanted it in my wild area at the bottom of the garden where hopefully it will thrive for many years. Nature takes, and nature gives back it seems. :)

So come on, who else has some good news to share?

I've started reading your journal and think it's very well written and an excellent read. :blue thumb: In my opinion it's definitely worth putting together as a book - another profession for you to start on :).

Daisees might be able to give you hints on publishing online as her book is available on Kindle. Mine were written back in the old days of paper books! :old: :heehee:

                      Good luck with everything.

Thanks for that Shiney - one or two folks have said they enjoyed it and so it might be worth looking into. I started it as so many friends said - let us know where you are and what you are up to and it seemed the easiest way to keep everyone up to date, but so far I am enjoying the writing and it might be exciting to publish a book :)
