I'm happy because we got a new baby for christmas, my second granddaughter was due on New Year's eve but made a surprise appearance just after 9pm on Christmas Day. Both my daughter and new baby are well and doing great, they left hospital asap and came to us in the early hours of Boxing Day - :D

Many congrats, John. My niece turned up on Xmas Day last year. She was christened ... Holly. Personally I would have preferred Ivy. But at least it wasn't Crackers or Sprout.

      Thanks for the congrats roders.

Don't think they were expecting a christmas baby Clare otherwise it might be have been crackers! :lollol:

Wendy, it is going to be a shock to your Alan, I still can't get used to being a granddad, good luck to them, it is a nice experience (as you know :gnthb:)

      Thanks for the congrats Woo.

Luckily the bin-men managed to get up our road today, first time for at least a couple of weeks due to the snow, the wheely bin was overflowing with nappies.

Well my reason to be cheerful is the weather!! We have had some sun here and I just love being out feeling the warmth, looking at all the spring flowers and hearing the birds sing.

Yup, it was the weather that made me smile todayh:D I was able to get on with cutting down my Pampas grass with my Hedge cutter, clearing up the mess, and then sitting down in the garden with a cup of tea to eye up what needed sorting next.
It's the first time that I could really feel the warmth of the sun and think "oh, yes. Spring is on the way!! I went back into the house in the evening with a smile on my face:thumbsup:
