two years ago, switched positions at my company to another similar one, but with a couple changes. The big one is I was no longer "on call for 24 hours", to handle issues as I had been for 13 years. Now, its the same pay also, but, I now get overtime. So what makes me happy, you ask. Today, woke to tons of snow that fell, I do not have to worry about staffing, I can sit home and work, not worry about driving in the stuff to where ever I needed to go. Happy, Happy. And as I am sitting home "working on reports" I am getting paid also.

Following on from January's success, the 'Walk and Talk' crew are continuing with a monthly charity walk. Today's was a thoroughly enjoyable six mile stomp around Westleton Heath, getting plenty of fresh air, exercise and meeting up with friends old and new. :)

I'm currently chilling out listening to a song by faithless that keeps saying the title of this thread.

Soon wife will report that my stew and dumplings are ready.

My fright night turned out better than expected. I wasn't eaten. The mother bit was just a nightmare :phew: and in the end penned this..

                    Fright Night in the Garden
A mysterious light in my garden one night, it caused such a scare it caused such a fright. It stood by a tree, then started to glow and crept in the grass so recently mowed. And lurching towards me it came to the house, it mucus filled snuffed and it had a huge mouth. It stomped on my herbs with a terrible thud and rose up high to munch some buds. A thrashing tail, a haunting tread, it came to feast on my scared head. It came to crunch and munch my toes and eat me up in maws of woe! Then from the flowers in their beds a snorting sound did drool with dread. It was so close, I shuddered fear, oh where was teddy when danger was near?

So scream I did in fervent howls, clenching muscles to save the bowels. I shook with terror and strangled my doll and punched at walls to make a hole. The scariest thing was its luminance hulk and breaking the window causing mother to sulk. What thing did glow and move amongst plants? Would I outlive this, was there even a chance? Then as I cried and prepared to die, a light came on and struck my eye. It shone then out to the garden so near and let me know the cause of tears.

A horses coat upon its back! It gleamed with white this equine sack. It had a hood that reached its neck and caused my nerves to be a wreck. It looked at me and stomped the ground and chewed the chili on the mound. And after it fed so well and sweet, it plodded away and allowed me to sleep.

So proud! Eldest won Chair of Bard in the school's Eisteddfod for her alternative story on the Welsh Dragon, winning her house Dar points and putting them in first place!

Kiddies had parent's evening yesterday and today, eldest is doing brilliantly and is pushing towards level 5 in SATs for English and Maths :yay: Youngest, little bit too rough with the other little lads but is a very happy boy, lacks bit of concentration but has come on loads since starting in Sept. Very proud mam

Another reason, sister has gone on hols and has very kindly lent me her car, whoo hoo! Sorted insurance out and was quite pleased it was only £70 for 2 weeks.. another company wanted £250 + :grump:
