I am able to replicate this in IE, but not in Chrome.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is exactly the same problem that Moyra is having, except that maybe Moyra's PC is just tipping over the edge and crashing the browser.

Also in IE, I just tried to tag @moyra . The first two attempts did nothing. The third attempt worked.

Granted, IE is notoriously slow compared to Chrome and Firefox, but there is an issue here. IE still holds the largest share of the browser market. I'm on IE10, which I believe is the latest, and supports most of HTML5. My machine is fully up to date. Hardware is not great but not bad, AMD Athlon II X2 (3.2GHz), 2GB DDR3 RAM.

If I were a betting man, I'd wager a whole 30 pence that the editor plugin has been developed and tested on a current spec PC running Chrome, and just doesn't work well on an older PC, especially one that is running the notoriously cumbersome IE.

the editor has been tested and works on all browsers , and works on IE8+

only one it won't function is dolphin on android 2

@moyra it sounds like your laptop is overheating and shutting down .

do you have very low ram?

With respect, I've just tested it in IE10, and it performed very poorly. Maybe it works for some in IE, but clearly there is an issue. Shiney is reporting massive lag, Moyra is seeing the browser crash, Sheal and "M" are having to click things multiple times because on the first click, nothing is happening. I've just replicated the lag issue and the ignored click issue on my machine in IE10. Maybe it works most of the time for most users, but there is clearly an issue somewhere. Too many people are seeing too many symptoms for it to just be Moyra's machine alone.

I tested on IE10 myself, and it performed very well.

100+ volunteer Beta testers tested it over 6 weeks with xenforo while in development.

I believe the issue is computer specs.

Initially I was losing it when editing and I also was having the problem with clicking on post reply, it wasn't happening the first time of clicking.

I have several minor snags but I am just waiting to see if they clear on their own in time,I had to wipe my laptop completely and reinstall Windows 7 ,plus change from Firefox to Chrome before I got satisfactory results ,it took me about 4 days to sort it:)

I have a theory that it crashes for you when auto draft kicks in, meaning for some reason your memory or CPU can't handle it, it could be hardware related.

My dads old pc used to crash every time he went on eBay for example due to the java widgets used
