Armandii I am so glad you are pleased for me. It is such a treat to come back on here and have no niggles. What a relief. THANK YOU RICHARD, I'll shout it loud so you can hear me. You have done a grand job!

I still have the multiple 'clicking' problem. I have noticed though, that during light 'traffic' on GC during the day I can usually get away with one or two clicks. During the evening when there is more going on I have been clicking up to six times, so frustrating!

Yes I do find that perhaps it does not post on first click but little worry if it goes on the 2nd! I am just happy to be able to post more than a sentence at a time. The big worry is do I now delete all the google gunff and the chrome that I downloaded. I am not convinced because there does seem an improvement in the speed but then I have done so many upgrades and clearing the decks its unbelievable.

Yes, but how many of those testers lived in rural areas with slow connections and bog standard hardware?

You could delete all but the browser than you like the most? or perhaps keep that AND your second choice (as a fallback)

I've thought of another usage :)

You construct a reply ... then you (well, this is ME I'm hopelessly writing about :) ) spot that there are more pages, as yet unread, in the thread.

Press SAVE DRAFT and then NEXT PAGE ... the text of the reply is available at the bottom of that page ... add more as appropriate (or realise that someone else has already provided the answer, and written better than I would have!) and optionally SAVE again and press NEXT again!

Of course I didn't do that ... I laboriously cut & pasted to the next page - good job nothing interrupted be and caused me to use the clipboard for some other content before pasting it!

I've not thought of going through that process. I just open up the same thread in another tab, read it, and then flip back to the tab I've already started typing in.

I do that too ... when I remember! I have lost replies before by navigating, without thinking, to a different page and then when I realised and BACK'd my reply was gone ... hopefully with Save Draft now that won't happen (dunno if it saves the draft when you navigate off the page? that would be handy, in addition to "every XX seconds")

Later: Tested it, and no it doesn't :(

I have decided to leave it as it is with Google as my home page if I want it I can then sign in or if I need Chrome I can bring it up but in the meantime I am happy with the IE10. Thanks Richard and Kirsten for help given.

It would be useful if there was a 'Saved Drafts' button somewhere to make it possible to view a list of posts where something had been started and saved, but in the meantime adding a Bookmark with a note to self that there's a Saved Draft in the thread does the job..
