    STUFFED MARROW
    Ingredients
    Minced meat
    Red kidney beans
    Mushrooms
    Onions
    Spaghetti Bolognese sauce

    Preparing the meal
    1. Peel the marrow skin off and cut in half and remove all the seeds.

    2. Cook the mince till it goes brown, then add the sauce, Kidney beans, Mushrooms and onions and cook slowly in a deep frying pan until the sauce is hot and the mushrooms and onions all look half cooked.

3.Out line a tin for the cooker, then put another lot of foil on top to lie both the marrow on and also to cover up and place both half's of the marrow side by side, then pour in the mixture until they're both full, then put them together and pour the rest of the sauce and mixture all over the top of the marrow.

    4. Wrap the extra piece of foil you've put them on, so the marrow is not showing, then put it in the middle of the oven...Electric 150 / Gas no'3-4 according to how hot your cooker cooks.

    5. Cook for a solid 2hrs

          Omelettes, scotch eggs, quiche?

With it being Easter Weekend, why not involve the children in dying eggs? Boil as normal, then make cracks in the shell then put them into boiling water with food colouring in it and boil for a minute or two more. When peeled they should have a marbled colour over them.

If you just hard boil them they make a quick snack that really fiils you and is not loaded with calories.. that said, it's a sunny day. Time to resurrect the sun oven and bake a dozen in there :)

              Thank you!

brilliant link thank you, its got them all subdivided.. right up my street!

Youngest would, eldest doesn't eat eggs :( That magenta bunny is so cute too! I love the carrot flowers and chive stalks!

Not fussed on chorizo, I'll do the rest though and especially mushrooms! :dbgrtmb:

We're not too keen on hard boiled but the other half likes pickled ones, which I made Christmas time for him.

Thank you very much for the suggestions all and the lion link. :thanks2:

You can freeze eggs for up to one year. When you're ready to use frozen eggs, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator or under running cold water. Use egg yolks or whole eggs as soon as they're thawed. ... Use thawed frozen eggs only in dishes that are thoroughly cooked.
