I don't think there is a problem US to UK with seeds ... but there seems to be a problem the other way around. :WINK1:

As the saying goes - What the eye doesn't see.........

If it was illegal, the chances of seeds being spotted by Customs on the way in via the Postal system is at about the same level as spotting a flying pig. - unless the sender is being monitored by the US customs people.

I put some Osteospermums in the front garden back in May. They were in full bloom when I bought them, and after a couple of weeks of sulking from the transplant to their new home, they've been blooming constantly ever since. They're still going now, although admittedly with less enthusiasm than they had a few weeks ago.

I have some Marguerites in the same patch. They're doing even better, but they're not even close to blue. I have yellow ones and pink ones. Don't know if you can blue ones.

EDIT: Just checked, and yes you can get blue marguerites:dbgrtmb:

They disinfected my shoes because i said I'd been on a farm recently. I didn't have to take all my other shoes out of the luggage and disinfect them as well, though.

Did they come down the plane spraying everyone indiscriminately with chemicals?

When we went from Bucks to the IoW (every other weekend) we had to walk over disinfectant mats and the car run over such like as well (cats were not subjected to such torture fortunately as they were always with us). This was during mad cow disease season I believe ... can't remember what year as I've been gone for ten years now so before then ...

Yes they walk down the plane and spray their chemicals into the air. On one occasion we were told 'we don't have any, so, if you are asked, say we sprayed' :)
Disinfectant was used over here during mad cow disease and the foot and mouth

Sorry for not replying for a couple of days, not been well. This is great, so much to look up and choose between ... I'm liking the seed sites, it's like kid in a candy store ... trouble is, as mosts seeds are only 2-3 quid, I keep thinking "Oh, I'll have some of them ... and them ... they're nice" ... dont think my garden is big enough for all the seeds I want to buy, lol !

            :)

Know the feeling Len:heehee:,go for it, there's always ebay to sell your spares, I joined the RHS this year and just had their seed list, members can have 20 packets for £12!!!!! plus I've some lovely seeds from members on here, never know where all my seedlings are going but always find space when its time to plant:D, still excites me when they germinate even if its something I've grown many times before, hubby thinks I'm slightly mad:D.
              Hope you're feeling better:)
