Thanks Pete02, its just about filled with the first layer of stuff now, to give a settle while we are off on vacation next week, then he'll get the stones. More pics in a few weeks I guess.
Did you see my gardens on youtube. Make sure to look at 2009 also, better slides, due to better computer then.

    Hi Redstar
lovely garden, well done!! love the shade garden and your collection of Hostas, I'm a big fan of Hostas and have a small collection of my own, though mine are all in pots, easier to control the slugs and snails that way, you have some nice Hydrangea's to, shame you are so far away or I would visit :gnthb:

Stage two of the patio installment in front of the gazebo.

Yep, its a good truck. Its carry weight is registered at 7,800 lbs. There is 2,100 lbs on it now. Thank goodness the place we get the stuff from is only 10 mins away. We also go to the same place for our mulch. The truck's back bed's space can hold 2 yard of mulch nicely. Then we can back the truck up to the areas we need to mulch and sometime I can just fork --throw it out to the destination. You may not see it in the picture but its a Ford Dullie truck, has 4 huge back tires, and two tires in the front, has two gas tanks, that can switch over when one is empty. Husband bought it about 12 years ago. It was a used one. He bought it to use in towing his trailor flat bed that carries the race car on it. But it serves other purposes. I actually do drive it occassionally. This is the truck that the hateful squirrels got to the brake lines one year. Thank goodness I was still in the drive and noticed I had no brakes.
Ok, thats the story of the truck.

Two gas tanks! Not cheap to run but sounds ideal for picking up and dumping stuff right where you need it. Keep us posted how your patio laying goes :thumb:

Remembered the present cargo weight wrong. There is 5,500. lbs. on the truck now.
Husband just said, the patio total weight of cargo to build it is 14,000 lbs.
Today the sand is going down, and he will wet it down to encourage settlement, then more sand after the water settles out.

yep, two gas tanks. we don't go too far too often with it. It comes in very handy like you said for halling stuff. And hardwear store major pick ups, like building materials.

5,500. lbs is over 2 tons, that's some load. Must keep you and Mr Redstar fit.

Husband doing all the patio work. I am not even getting near that. Got housework. And right now taking a break from all the grass cutting.
Yep, will be nice to have that finished.

Not many more garden pics for the rest of the year. A couple of things blooming still. My yellow wax bells. Waiting on some Toad Lillies to bloom. A few wild asters.
Much of my work will be transplanting some tall sedum, and getting some oriental grass planted. He want to order a mess of bulbs for the valley area. Probably will get involved with that.
And this is the everyother Tree Nut dropping event, they are everywhere, major clean up this fall besides the leaves.

Stay tuned for more patio pics as he moves along. Right now the foot ball game has called his name.

Here's a hoot, you know we have cats. So I said to husband yesterday, just watch someone's going to climb on all that sand and poop in it. Sure enough he just told me there's cat poop in the sand. LOL. Like the 2 1/2 acres are not enough room for them. But its ok. Whatever.
