                I found that interesting.:dbgrtmb:
                For starters I didn't know there was a virginian blue bell,(Mertensia virginica)0
but did I hear that right? English bluebells bloom in June?

They are pretty much in full bloom here right now and the Daffodil are finished.
Its very strange how plants adapt to climates, bearing in mind, things like hostas seem to be pretty much at the same stage.

Yes, felt the same way, when I was raking out that garden then, and the bareness of it all. I just shook my head knowing soon it would be lush and green. it is amazing.

Its either English bluebells or Spanish bluebells, but they don't bloom till really late in May or early June. have some white also, of same type. when they bloom will take a photo.

I did cut them back in the winter. have several types in my garden. some I only cut back to knee high, some just a slight shaping. Depends on the type.

Looks lovely @redstar  It would be nice to have another walk about when the astilbes are in flower. :)

The plant beginning with "E", is it an epimedium?

yep, that's the plant epimedium. too many plants to remember. anyway, yep plan on another walk about in May. more will happen. and looking forward to seeing the 3 new types of purple alliums I put in, each is a purple type, but slightly different , and each blooms a week apart. also new lilies I put in too.
