    Cramp and growing pains: If the children get growing pains or you suffer from cramp, the potassium in the Banana helps this - as I remembered at 3 this morning whilst struggling with MEGA cramp in the calf muscles in BOTH legs!!!! [​IMG] [​IMG]

    In my experience, if you have a pash for bananas while you're pregnant - it's a boy!!!!! :D :D

    Thanks BM for that useful info on bananas, I never knew half that stuff. I'm not that fussy on them but will eat them now, trouble is i have IBS and fruit can start it off, and i do love fruit and know it's good for you.

    A recipe to try with your bananas.

    Recipe information:
    Serves: 10-12
    Prep time: 15 minutes
    Cooking time: 20 minutes
    Nutrition per serving:
    176 calories, 7g fat (of which saturated fat 4g), 0.7g salt, 7g sugar

    Deliciously light, fruity muffins, with no added sugar.

    Ingredients
    300g self raising flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    75g ready to eat dried apricots, chopped
    2 medium size eggs
    2 bananas, mashed
    150ml milk
    75g butter, melted

    1. Preheat the oven to 200�°C, 400�°F, gas mark 6.
    2. Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl and stir in the apricots.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, bananas, milk and butter and stir into the dry ingredients. Mix well.
    4. Spoon the mixture into muffin tins lined with muffin cases.
    5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until risen and golden.

    Delicious served warm or cold.
