Dont get me wrong, I'm all for less VAT on most things, BUT.
Is VAT really a crippling expense on most people, when it comes to plants and seeds.
I think a reduction on many other things should come first, just look at you grocery reciept and see how much food now gets 17.5%, its suprising, especially as there is NO VAT on food.

I also think that signing these petitions are a complete waste of time (sorry Marley), as the government take no notice what so ever, its only the ballot box that makes a difference, and then, not much.:)

;) I don't disagree with you Pete & it is entirely your own choice to sign, but I feel that there actually should be no VAT on all food as it is a necessity to life.... But there we are that's me.....!:D
;)The petition is actually aiming more to reduce it to 5% which is the same the government already has.....

So as far as I am concerned Pete, any try is a good one.... After all, in a roundabout way, veg seeds, flowers plants & trees are all essential to life in one way or another...!! So why should the darned government get the full 17.5%.. They should put more on non essentials to life, like alcohol & baccy instead...!!!!!!:thumb:

:D OK sorry about that... Off me soap box now...!!! Your turn again Pete..??:D:D

I'd like to see VAT reduced to 5% on a lot of things, but thats not going to happen.
Plants and seeds are pretty low down on my list of essentials.

I dont blame anyone for trying, just think its a bit, .....no a lot, unrealistic to expect anything to happen.

I think the alcahol and baccy thing has been done to death, along with fuel duty and road tax.

Sorry not trying to turn it into a political disscussion, I'll butt out now.:D

:thumb: Na Pete, not worth the effort mate....;):D I know it is very doubtful that it will happen, but for the couple of seconds it takes to tick the boxes. I will always give it a try... :) If there is a chance I can try & reduce what tax I pay to them, I will....:thumb:

:thumb: So come on sign up..!!!:D:D
