    Steady now Rachel:D

You can use them to make elderflower wine out of season, don't need that much of them as they're quite pungent.

That was a bit of a tangent, but yes I have tried for the crayfish, must be doing something wrong though as i've never managed to catch one in a trap.

Only time I have caught some is when we diverted the river & drained one of the courses.

Big things about half the size of a lobster, hiding in crevises.:OUCH:

You can't trap the signal crays without a licence, but I think the Environment Agency have admitted defeat, the signal has won in most rivers around here.

If I were Huge Furry Whittingstall, I would of had a bucket of them out by now & be wading in for seconds.

But i'm only Nick Knowles apparently so I don't get such a good TV program:DOH:

And there may well be a good reason for that as I've heard of otters being killed by being trapped/drowned in the likes of those expanding 'prawn nets' set for signals and left unattended overnight - and not by me!

Thats horrible Rachel. My sympathies there. No one wants a dead hedgehog. They are so lovely. I had one stuck on my fist once but thats another story:DOH:
