I am NOT a doggy person, but please send him to me ... I'm sure my cats (and me and t'other half) might like him too ... xx
Yes, his colouring is like a Bernese Honeybunny. When fully grown he'll have the build and size of a Border Collie but without a tail. Apparently this breed has them docked at birth because they break very easily.
Aww he is just gorgeous..?? my cuz in California has one called Timothy, but he is a Red merle in colour.. A gorgeous Silver white red brown mix.. 2 of the most beautiful icy blue eyes I have ever seen.. He has the most lovely temperament & very obedient.. Your son will have a wonderful time with him....
Thanks Marley. I hadn't seen this breed until my son got him, I thought he was a mongrel, I have duly slapped my wrists! They have such pretty faces.
oh it can be so easy to get confused with breeds cant it though! i once asked a lady if her little black dog was a pekingese or a pug cross? the face on her as she informed me he was an Affenpinscher...with a pedigree as long as your arm no less i wanted the ground to open up in my defence though she had him groomed oddly...& he was a weird looking little thing with crazy wild hair & a squashed nose so Sheal, take it easy with the slappin'! it was an easy mistake to make if you're not familiar with the breed, don't go getting carried away & end up slappin' yourself silly now ye'hear!
In my defence Honeybunny, Riley is an American breed and I'm not sure if there are any in the UK, so the slap was probably a one off! I've learnt my lesson with dogs I don't recognise and always ask the owner for the breeds name before I drop myself in it, I'm usually fairly good at recognising breeds though.
i am myself & kinda get a buzz out of trying to guess what breeds went into a cross/mutt...its fun when your right!not so much when your not! i've always had a thing about dogs & love reading up on all the different breeds
It's a few years since I've had a dog, my husband won't have another one because our last one was an absolute nightmare, the devil in disguise! I was reared with terriers and likewise I've followed suit. I like their spirit.
oh how very intriguing...may i ask what breed this hound from hell of yours was? i honestly don't think i could ever be without a dog (or two) tbh...although personally i found three to be too many...everything is just that much more difficult when you've three that said i have to keep telling myself that as i have a longing for another, seriously im dreaming of puppies these days
Believe me he made our lives an absolute misery, wrecking the house, howling at night and I gave up trying to train him. So he had to go because he was driving us insane, three years we put up with it, no sleep, no peace and destruction inside and out. Here's the monster and it looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. The picture below is what I came home to one day from shopping. He'd emptied nearly every cupboard in my kitchen (the picture only shows some of what he did) and after we had to fit baby locks. Surprisingly he hadn't chewed or eaten anything. With all the dogs I've had, I've never experienced anything like him! Lakeland Terrier
awww & he's such a cutie too i take it he had atrocious separation anxiety? both our bichon's had it too, not so much with Snoop as he just barks if left but there's always someone home nowadays so its not been a problem & they both sleep/slept on our beds so no problems barking at night but back in the day Polo (our rainbow bridge boy) could be quite destructive when left...although he never managed anything near the 5 star job your boy did Freddy our Chihuahua on the other hand never had any problem at all being left & i put it down to the fact Freddy has always had a Crate, Crate training inadvertently taught him its ok to be alone & the Crate has become his safe place, once he's in there bombs could be falling & he wouldn't bat an eye, very handy to have ....without a doubt every dog we have in the future will always have one
