walnut, sorry for delay - thanks for info.

your little robin is great. must think it's really landed in heaven, with you feeding it 'live' food instead of boring things in most people's gardens! keep the photos coming.

    cheers
    sandra

Ste robin and his mate have scarpered been gone two weeks now must have nested somewhere else, blackbird did that last year but she is as cheeky as ever following me in the greenhouse for mealworms, she has built a nest in next doors garden I was making balls of mud throwing it down for here she picked it up and tok it to line her nest with,I have a dunnock nested in a large conifer, sings on top of it everyday.
    Just a reminder for you.

    Walnut !

Thanks for resurrecting this thread because I would have no doubt missed these amazing pics otherwise. How fantastic they are - I am really envious of your great patience and fortune in attracting such a special friend. I think it is one of the greatest privileges to have a wild animal or bird put their trust in a person.

    Nut the Bird Whisperer!

Also, making mudpies for a blackbird - seems an incredible thing to do - I would never have thought of that, so simple a concept and yet so cleverly thought of. I think you have a natural affinity for these little fellas!

Lets see your garden Nut - it sounds really bird friendly.

Alas ... for my cats, I shall never have such intimate involvement with our feathery friends.

    10/10 !!!

    Kath
