Does anyone know where I might get a Virgo rose? My old plant which was over thirty years old has died.

Hi Valerian, I've had a scout around the web, but there doesn't seem to be a supplier for this rose in the UK. Is your rose totally dead or is there a chance you could take a cutting or two from it?

Wise Owl, our wonderful rose expert here, may be able to give you some help tracking it down. :)

 Like the Norwegian Blue parrot, it is dead. Defunct. It has ceased to exist! Sadly it is no more. R.I.P. Virgo.:cry3:

Your welcome. :) It's available on American websites if you're prepared to go down that road. You could also try it in our 'Wanted' Forum, you never know your luck. ;)

Hi Valerian I can,t give you any other information than Joolz as already given you, only to add that a good alternative would be the beautiful Rose "Iceberg" which is three quarters Virgo and one quarter Robin Hood(Parents)and is almost identical to Virgo:)

Hello Joolz68, I went to ebay to look at the roses you mentioned and have bought a yellow white rose virgo. It doesn't look like the rose that I lost but I think that it may be the nearest to it that I will find. I have an Iceberg rose but the virgo held special memories for me.
:ThankYou: to everyone who took the time to do some research on my behalf.

I know this was asked nearly 4 years ago, but today I bought Rosa Virgo at my local Home Bargains at the unbelievable price of 99P yes 99P! They also had a reasonable selection of other bush and climbing roses at the same price.
                  Not one to miss.

I've registered on this site after seeing the old post above. Like Gareth 42 I have just purchased a Virgo rose, literally yesterday - I am setting up a new 'meditation'/white garden and my star sign is Virgo so I couldn't resist. I might go back for more after seeing how difficult they are to find now. Mine was £1 in the Poundworld store!!
