Hey, now there's a clever idea, Sweetie, after I've done my Australian outback scene. [IMG]

That's coming along beautifully, rosa, but I'm not going to give advice on colours! :D :D

I know what you mean regarding the size ... I'm downsizing all of mine now and it's much easier.

Lovely sky rosa, spot on! Reflect that sky in horizontal streaks (slightly darker) as the wind catches the surface and reflect a bit of that green as appropriate, and all those buildings like a mirror, but don't overdo it!

Much depends on how rough the water is of course, if it is flowing enough then you could pick up more sky and less reflection, it's up to you!

    Lovely so far rosa!

thanks dag, do you think i should put some darker green to the left were the white fall is and maybe the top right part of the sky a little darker, oh and the river is not rough pretty smooth.

That is a tough one, Rosa.

The cathedral is nicely drawn and should be fine. Water is difficult and your brush needs to be much wetter when you paint with watercolour if you want to avoid harsh brush strokes showing when its dry.

I suggest you make sure you have the paper on a good flat support. Then wash over the river with a big brush using lots of clean water. Remove excess water with a tissue. Let it partially dry to a damp stage and then brush in whatever colours you see in the water - blues and greens. Do it quickly so they merge nicely. That bit is always a gamble so keep your fingers crossed. Good luck!
