    It just goes to show that for every Jack theres a Jill

    I planted freckles on the front of a steel pergola earlier this year. I didn't want anything too showy on there and wanted evergreen. This fitted the bill perfectly. It just needs to start growing a bit more now.

          Medium yellow Large-Flowered Climber.
          Registration name: Golden Showers
          Bred by Dr. Walter E. Lammerts (United States, circa 1950).
          Introduced in United States by Germain's (Germain Seed & Plant Co.)in 1956 as 'Golden Showers'.
          Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1958 as 'Golden Showers'.
          Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.
          Yellow. Licorice, tea fragrance. 20 to 30 petals. Average diameter 6". Large bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
          Climbing.
          Height of 10' to 14' (305 to 425 cm). Width of up to 6' (up to 185 cm).
          . Shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.
