    Thanks Ziggy, yes i had noticed them more this year for some reason or maybe my six sense is drawing me to see them and telling me i need them for my health :heehee: Will have a go at making some, was making homemade organic soap yesterday for the first time, really enjoyed that :)

    No didn't make my own compound Ziggy, bought that from the craft shop it complys with UK cosmetic products safety regulations and Certified organic to soil Association standards, the soaps i made was my own design, i used seeds, petals and organic oils :)

    Ahh, right, i'm with you. Very nice.

    Forgot to mention that last year I made Candied Apple Rings using rosehip syrup as a starter. Daughters loved em.

    Can this be done with the hips from Rosa Rugosa? :noidea: I planted a few along my back fence and they have cherry tomato sized hips on them. Would be great to put them to good use (as well as allowing the birds their treats)

    Yep, no poisonous plants in the rose family as far as I know.

      Never thought of using them as they are in such abundance in the hedgerows around here.. Let us know how it turns out.. :thumbsup:

      Will do; I was only talking to Mr Mum about rose hip syrup the other day. I can remember my mother giving us a daily spoonful throughout winter. Can't recall if she made her own though :noidea:
