Rose Hip Syrup

Just finished making my first batch for this year. Delicious, and I believe, loaded with vitamins.

 

Do some in a milk shake Dave, its lovely & will help you get over the flu too

 

I'd never have thought of that. Sounds like an excellent plan. I'll try that tomorrow, it'll curdle with my beer if I do it now

I do 2 table spons, to a cup of milk.

 

My rosehip syrup that I made last week is fermenting:(

I didn't add any yeast. Some natural yeast must have survive the stewing process I guess. Either that or I didn't clean the bottle good enough.

Still, I have some home brew kit, and still have a couple of pounds or so of rosehips in a bag in the fridge. I might just set some off to make wine. If its going to go bad, I may as well take some control over exactly what fungi makes it good bad
