    Hello Ziggy,
Just a question and i know it sounds daft. I live in the middle of a council estate! but in the communal garden there is a bush that is covered in what i think are rosehips at leat thats what they look like i would love to use them but am not used to foraging and am slightly worried in case they are not what i think any ideas?

You'll find them growing on waste ground & railway embankments in built up areas and it might be worth knocking on peoples doors who have them growing in their gardens. A few hips in exchange for a bottle of syrup & you get to meet people too.

Oh no see don't tell me things like itching powder i could cause all sorts of mayhem with that one:lollol:As for taking too many trust me council estate gardeners (or at least our ones) are not gardeners they just wave a chainsaw about a lot they hacked down a blackberry bush before i got a chance to get at it what a waste. When i get in from work today i will be out straight away checking for those fibres though. Thanks for the advice. Rosehip syrup here i come!!!!
