Still having problems don't know why as have downloaded pics a couple of times. The roses are 5 petals fairly small white with a very pale pink faded in from about half way through each petal to the end.Yellow center small leaves. The closest ive seen is the gallica rose-Complicata & the Hybrid musk rose-Ballerina.

Yay..the pics are on thought I would put a few on.They are beautiful but because its very windy & wet both roses are getting battered the trees around them are giving some protection but have lost a lot of the flowers :(
Hopefully I can now find out what rose this is.

        Hello Kels.

The problem is ... there are so many roses! And if yours is an old rose, the task of identification is even more difficult because plants go out of fashion and are no longer produced by the growers. Yours looks very much like the little pink paper roses which get sold for Alexandra Rose Day. It's a single flower, like a wild dog rose, so it's not 'New Dawn'.

David Austin stocks a rose a bit like yours, called 'Alexandra Rose'. It's not quite the same, but as you can see, it's rather similar:-

I agree nearly but not quite.I also think the gallica rose-Complicata & the Hybrid musk rose-Ballerina same colours also 5 petals & gold centres.Maybe the closest I will get ? Have passed a few pictures about & noone can give a def name :(

'Ballerina' produces large trusses of smallish flowers, rather than single blooms like yours. Unfortunately, as Woo will tell you, tracking down the names of roses can be a bit of a mammoth task.

Actually, your rose looks very much like our native wild dogrose. Compare it to the picture below. Pretty much identical, I'd say. The leaves are the right shape, too.
