    Love Brushstrokes Sheal :wub2:

'Perdita' in a vase, accidently broken by the window cleaner who was very apoligetic, can't be helped the rose bed is in front of the kitchen windows, lovely fragrance on this one.

Thank you for the compliment Woo. :) Your chap does look just a little sorry for itself but hopefully it will feel more comfortable after the move.

Your double delight has an amazing amount of colours in it, I've not seen a rose like that before, very pretty.

          Jenny,
Thanks for the compliment. :) It's so lovely to see them all in bloom now, I thought I'd have to wait forever. I hope to have a shot of my last one later, I've found with roses the pictures are better when the harsh sunlight has gone.

          Simbad,

Glad you like 'Brushstrokes'. It's a shame your rose was broken, but it looks just as good in a vase. :dbgrtmb:

This is "dark red cluster rose", under my kitchen window (but no scent :cry3:) under 5' 2" tall.

                      DSCF6384 (640x360).jpg

This is "pink cluster rose" at the front of my house (no scent :cry3: ) over 5' 2" tall.

                      DSCF6373 (640x360).jpg

This is my "red rose" on the arch leading into the garden (no scent :cry3:) over 5' 2" tall

                      Two.jpg

This is "pink surprise" on the other side of the same arch (no scent :cry3: ) under 5' 2" tall.

"Pink surprise" because, just like the red climbing rose, it was moved from a corner in the front of the house two summers ago with no idea what either was. This year it rewarded me with a few flowers and this is the remaining one:

                      DSCF6376 (360x640).jpg

All of the above were in the garden when I moved here 3 years ago and all looked quite sorry for themselves. Dark red rose was the worst of all because it was sprawling all over the place/path! This year, we rewarded her with her own trellis and she is reaching for the kitchen window in exuberant glory! :snork:

The back third of the garden was an overgrown jungle, which we spent that summer clearing. The fence adjoins the local park and was deemed "vulnerable" :heehee: So, I invested in some "anti-burglar" shrubs: pyracantha and .... Rosa Rugosas!

                        Here are my RR's:

                        DSCF6398 (360x640).jpg DSCF6402 (360x640).jpg DSCF6403 (360x640).jpg

They are making a delightful display this year and are mixing in with a passionflower to provide both beauty and a thorny barrier. LOVE them!

I think of them as "paper roses" because they are so delicate and the blooms only seem to last a day :dunno: but they have the most fabulous hips in the autumn (as large, if not larger, than cherry tomatoes!)

Lovely roses 'M' :dbgrtmb: I love the deep red one in your first picture. :)

Pictures of my rose bed which I took a few days ago, they've filled out even more since. I'm pleased with the result having worried about them all clashing.
