Silver jubilee - at least that's the variety. I haven't given her a pet name yet ;) Has a not super strong but fruity tea rose fragrance. Not a new variety, looking at I'm wondering if I remember it from park gardens of my youth. The two in the pot are doing much better than the three in the ground (my mum went crazy and bought me 5 bare roots!). Obviously need more food in the ground but still doing well.

Beautiful Reetgood, definitely worth the wait! :dbgrtmb:

It's a bit late in the season to use slow release fertiliser like manure or chicken pellets Reetgood, but you could give them a liquid feed with something like Miracle Gro or Tomato feed. :)

                  Bright future is rather yummy.

Having to have stern words with self. No self, a climbing rose is not a priority and besides didn't I want jasmine as a climber?

That's a new shade of yellow that I've not seen before Armandii. It may be difficult to "place" if you know what I mean.
                    Back of a hot border?

To my eyes, Jenny, I would call it an orange shade:dunno: It's not too difficult to place in my garden as it's gone on the West fence running alongside the pond along with Madame Alfred Carriere, Veilchenblau, White Clouds, Alberic Barber, and 3 other unnamed climbing roses so there's mostly white there and the orange stands well with them.

Go on, Reetgood.....................you know you should!!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5: Woo is my downfall as he has shown so many cracking roses in his posts and I get "persuaded" to buy some.:heehee:

I love this thread - it reminds me of a good classy glossy posh magazine that one finds in the Porche showroom...
