    Now, take it out of that 30 year old cellophane wrap and plant it in the ground ... I can only imagine how it would look next year! :dbgrtmb:

      Having only recently discovered that the rose by my pond was called "Just Joey" ... it seems I am a rose murderer :cry3: :cry3: :cry3:

      Poor thing is on it's last legs: yellowing leaves, droopy buds and totally unresponsive.

      Yes, fool me transplanted it a few weeks ago (hence how I discovered its name - the tag was buried deep in the ground!). I knew I took a risk; I blew it!

      R.I.P "Just Joey" and thank you for the wonderful memories :cry3:

          Has it definitely popped it's clogs, "M"???. All roses are hungry plants and will respond to TLC and a weekly feed!! Perhaps if you just leave it to itself and give it a general purpose feed every now and then this year it will come back for next year.:snork:

          Well, I gave the planting hole a dose of BF&BM when I made the transplant, watered it well but, it has been pretty windy for the past 10 days or so and I'm guessing the poor mite is suffering root stress?

          I'm still keeping it moist and I'll take your advice and give it an occasional general feed.

          I shall keep a look out for any new growth over the coming weeks :th scifD36: but, I'm really not optimistic with this one.

          Ah well, if the worst is the worst, aside from giving me some lovely memories, it has awoken a desire for more roses :redface: (And, the Wyevale garden centres have a deal on roses this week! But, I think it ends tomorrow?)

            Well, BF&BM takes a while to break down and pass on it's nutrients so it wouldn't have been a benefit as yet to the Rose. I think if the soil is firm around the rose and you give it some time, TLC and a feed it might pull through.:dunno::snork:

              Im still waiting to ID my rose..it as one bud and im hoping its going to be whiskey mac :blue thumb:

                  Yes, Compassion is a lovely rose, Woo.........and I blame you for "persuading" me to buy one for the South side of my Arbour:heehee: It's budding up nicely but so far no flowers!!:snork:
