Hornbeam me thinks you like pink? Pretty Jessica has a great colour and the Kathrym Morley looks dead posh! I am warming to the more open roses these days John Clare has a similar shape to the rhapsody. A nice selection matey!

Some red ones coming BM :D
I don't know the name of this rose, but I call it "First & Last" 'cos it starts to flower in May and goes on to December. It is about 20 years old and does get blackspot, but apart from losing a few leaves it is unaffected, proving that you don't need to spray.

I go away for four days - and what happens, we get a section on roses, and I enjoy a glorious lot of piccies of my favourite flower.

Not only that - but my front garden, which was a battle ground for field bindweed, and is now a membraned mulched rose garden - when I left they were in bud, when I came back - they'd opened and I walked in through the perfume. mmmmmm. Excuse the blowsy poppy - I just hadn't the heart to out it.

Fantastic roses and this is such a good year for them. David Austin and Peter Beales have really transformed rose growing. Anyone remember Harry Wheatcroft?

Your roses are wonderful Fran I suspect they have been growing a bit longer than mine...I had to go out and water mine last evening all drooping bushes too many flowers, roots not down far enough yet on this light sandy soil did not have that problem in Cambridge and boy is it hot again here today..
