You probably know this: The website main domain is "package-delivery. co .uk" the "royalmail" part is irrelevant - it is a so-called subdomain and is just a branch off that dodgy main domain.

MrsH got one of the "RoyalMail" scam texts yesterday. I told her if anyone is asking for money on a text or email, it is 99% certain it is a scam, just delete it. If it is real/important they will contact you again.
The point JWK made about the look-alike domain names, these could make the scam look real. Surely these cloned web addresses could be filtered out by the internet providers and blocked?

I think you're being generous to the scammers with only 99% :heehee:

New scam - Just got a text claiming to be from the Halifax, saying a new payee has been added to my account ( actually I don't have an account with them). It asks you to visit an obviously bad link "added-new-payee.com". Presume they could put any bank name on the scam. Just DELETE it!!! If you are concerned still delete it but then just check your account on line for any new Payees :blue thumb:

I don't have to worry about it. I'm too stingy to pay out any money to anyone! :old:
