      There's been a greater spotted woodpecker and a marsh tit hanging around so I hope they're still about at the weekend.

        We've had a few unusual visitors over the last week too but I bet they're no where to be seen on Saturday.....to add to the Fieldfares & Song Thrushes we've now had a Grey Wagtail, a pair of Goldcrests and a Coal Tit to add to the usual crowd :)

          We get a Pied Wagtail now and then but the Grey's are only seen down by the rivers.

          Nothing unsual today, ten different species, about the daily average.
          Blackbird
          Robin
          House Sparrow
          Blue Tit
          Collared Dove
          WoodPigeon
          Starling
          Chaffinch
          Gold Finch
          Redpoll

            Well it turned out ok here for the birdwatch, a nice sunny day and plenty of birds feeding, we had;
            Starlings, House Sparrows, Blackbirds, Blue & Great Tits, Long Tailed Tits, Robins, Wood & Feral Pigeons, Collared Doves, Chaffinch, Pied Wagtail, Dunnocks and the Fieldfares, a single Coal Tit and a Song Thrush were still hanging around too :dbgrtmb:

              I think the birds in our garden knew they were going to be watched as the number of species seen was well down on what we see most days and also well down on last years survey.
