runner beans no beans !!"!

    wahhooo.... i chucked me runners in today . i put in two types one has a white flower the othter has a red flower. damed if i know wot there names are. some are putt in two per post some are single
    think i got most of the red flower on one side and white on the other .
    hay ho who cares my bean frame is called the GOAL . tizz funny because it looks like goal poasts .

    being 6f3 when putting up a bean frame does have it's advatages

    Watching Titmarsh at the Chelsea Flower show it was mentioned don't know by whom that it was the absence of Bumblebees they are the ones that do most of the bean pollinating and to plant some thing near by that they like
    (I have a giant thistle) always alive with big bumble bees just thought I'd mention it.

    I don't grow runners but do grow climbing french beans and for past couple of years have grown sweet peas and/or sunflowers on the same supports. The different blooms seem to help attract bees and I suspect aid pollination.
