Runner Beans

    Well, the only thing most of the papers I mentioned are good for is lining bean trenches to be honest!

    The Telegraph in particular. Not worth reading, but massive sheets great for moisture retention!

    Telegraph is good, at least the poles will be the right size. Did you go to Sherbourne boys school by any chance ?

    Thank you all for all your suggestions. I have not been able to reply before now,a few internet connection problems! Since I was last here I have seen a few more beans forming,so lets hope those bees are doing their job!!
    I can taste them already!!

    Glad to hear that Tuppence. My first welsh beans will be ready tommorow. Sister has sneakily replaced half of them with runners, she thought I wouldn't spot the different flowers.
