I've been trying to find a map to put up for you but none are suitable, so I will give you my village name and you can locate it.......'Kirk Michael'. As the crow flies it's just 200 yds or so from the sea. Yes, the east side only had an inch or so of snow.

That's some snow Sheal. Presume caused by drifting in this hellish wind? Arran is in real trouble too with lots without power. We in comparison haven't had it too bad at all, that said I've felt like sitting IN the fire for the last week! Thought I'd add a glamour photo of me to show how from much experience I can SO symathise with people who get seriously dumped on!

Things are improving slowly and today a snow plough cleared our road. Half an hour into digging out our drive (60ft long) the driver of the plough ushered us away with a hand signal and then drove up and cleared it for us. What a wonderful man! :) We then continued to dig the cars out of the carport.

The village still only has a northern exit and the DoI (Department of Infrastructure) are working to clear the coast road that comes into the village from the west. The southern exit along Cronk-y-Voddy will probably remain closed for a couple of weeks as there is no where to 'shovel' the snow too, having high banks and hedges either side.

This will probably be the last of the pictures......

The T.T. famous 'Creg-Ny-Baa' pub where a lot of the bikers accumulate, it's sited at the end of a long downhill straight, the road then bears sharply to the right for another long straight. T.T. is just two months away.

Many thanks for the piccie update Sheal. Looks almost unreal.
On a sadder note. I hear that live stock may be buried under all that snow which is sad as your breeds are not hardy types I think,
