I thought I'd give you an update.

A lot of the snow has gone, however there is still a fair bit around the western side of the island. If the banked up snow doesn't thaw more quickly then we could be into issues regarding this years T.T. at the end of May.

Out and about today in my area I hadn't realised just how much damage has been done. Driving out of my village on a 6/7 mile stretch of road the devastation to trees and hedges is terrible and having driven back via other minor roads I'm astounded at how much damage there is all over the north west of the island, it's more like we were hit by a hurricane not a snowstorm. Trees and branches down, hedges look as if they have been ripped up and apart and banks have had slides here and there. It's going to take some while to clear all the branches and debris away as well as the maintenance needed after.

Blimey Sheal. Lot of work to do then.

Time to get that woodburner & go help with the clean up.

The woodburner's a good idea, but health and safety as usual prevents the clean up help.

Why not send the Military out to help? Better than sat around in Barracks

Compared to what you have had to put up with Sheal I count myself very lucky this winter. My main damage was my gas and electric bill! :gaah:
